The Hazen Memorial Library of Shirley takes part in the Massachusetts Summer Reading Program. This program strives to keep children reading over the summer months and has awards associated with each reading level.

The Hazen Memorial Library’s annual Summer Reading Program is a beloved tradition for people of all ages! It’s fun, helps kids keep their reading skills strong, and promotes the joy and love of reading. That’s why it is so important that we continue this treasured program in 2023. This year’s program, “Find Your Voice,” kicks off June 22nd and continues through August 3rd. We will feature incentive prizes and drawings, special events for all ages (birth to pre-K, children, teens/tweens, adults). You’ll find lots of cool things to do at home as well as animal shows, musical instruments, henna tattoos, journaling & story times. Please check out our website and Facebook page for more information about all of our events and programs.
