Services for Persons with Disabilities

The Hazen Memorial Library is fully accessible for persons with disabilities. Everything is on one level, with good lighting throughout and low pile carpeting to minimize echoes. Our services include:

Adaptive Equipment and Software

  • Aladdin Classic Video Magnifier
    • Displays printed materials in high contrast black on white, or white on black.
  • Computer with screen magnification and voice
  • Phonic Ear Easy Listener
    • Portable listening device to eliminate effects of distance and background noise.
  • Table top book prop devices to support a book for easier reading
